The Story of Luxman Metal Crushers Pvt Ltd
Luxman Metal Crushers Pvt Ltd has a rich and inspiring history that dates back to 1981 when it was founded by Mr. Gunasena Mallawaarachchi and Mrs. Karunawathi Liyanage. Coming from humble village origins, the couple initially operated a brass products manufacturing business since 1970 under the name of Luxman Brass Wear. However, with the influx of imported brass products from China and India, they found the industry increasingly unprofitable.
In response to these challenges, they made the bold decision to transition into quarry operations, starting with a small jaw crusher. This marked the beginning of Luxman Metal Crushers. The business grew steadily, supplying high-quality quarry products to local hardware stores and individual clients in the region.
Over time, Mr. Gunasena Mallawaarachchi handed over the reins of the business to his only son, Mr. Luxman Mallawaarachchi. Under his leadership, the company underwent significant expansion in both production capacity and market reach. Mr. Luxman introduced advanced machinery and equipment to enhance operational efficiency and acquired extensive rock lands to meet the growing demand for aggregates. As the company supplied products for major infrastructure projects across Sri Lanka, its clientele expanded to include infrastructure developers, government, and local government institutions.
Unfortunately, while the business was thriving, tragedy struck when Mr. Luxman Mallawaarachchi met with an untimely accident and passed away. The family business was then entrusted to his only sister, Ms. Samanthi Ediriweera Mallawaarachchi, who assumed the role of Managing Directress of Luxman Metal Crushers Pvt Ltd.
Together with her husband, Mr. Sanjeewa Ediriweera, Ms. Samanthi has been successfully steering the company towards growth and innovation. Having been actively involved in the business since her youth, working closely with her father and brother, Ms. Samanthi was well-prepared to lead the company. With her deep understanding of the business and her forward-thinking approach, she charted a new direction for its future. Her vision for Luxman Metal Crushers is:

Today, Luxman Metal Crushers Pvt Ltd stands as a testament to resilience, innovation, and leadership, continuing its legacy of excellence in the quarrying industry while contributing to the nation’s infrastructure development.
